flag Individual Appointments:

Individual, 45-minute appointments may be scheduled in advance with the Career Counselor for your major by calling 703-993-2370. Topics to discuss with your counselor may include:
  • Choosing a major
  • Career assessment inventories (MBTI, SII)
  • Self-assessment of skills, interests or personality
  • Occupations related to your major
  • General career decisions or job search concerns

flag Walk-in Hours:

Stop by for a short visit with a career counselor. Walk-ins are available for currently-enrolled students and recent graduates (less than six months since graduation). Walk-ins are done on a first come, first served basis.

For appointments with the career counselor for your major, see individual appointments (listed above). SOMexternal site and SPPexternal site students, see your respective career services offices for walk-in times.
Examples of walk-in questions:

  • Resume or cover letter critiques
  • Quick questions on job or internship searches, interviewing or networking
  • Using HireMason, including questions on how to set up a search agent
