  1. I'm not a student or alumnus of GMU, but need career counseling. What are my options?

  2. I plan to enroll at GMU in the coming semester, but before I enroll I want to talk with someone about majors.

    • Visit the Exploring Majors web page.

    • Visit the Career Library in the Career Services Office (SUB I, Room 348).

    • If you have not been accepted to George Mason University, visit the website for the Office of Admissions at George Mason University.

  3. As a community member, where may I go to have my resume critiqued?

  4. I need to find a job. Where do I look?
  5. Where may I take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and other career-related assessments if I'm not a student?

    • Contact the Women's Center in Vienna, VA.

    • Visit the assessments section of the Career Services website for exercises that focus on making decisions about careers and majors.

  6. Are there other resources available besides the Graduate School of Education and the Women's Center?

  7. I have a job opening that I'd like to make available to GMU students. What do I need to do?

    • Review the information about listing jobs with Career Services.

    • You may also run an ad in the Broadside, George Mason University's student newspaper.

    • You may post flyers on campus after obtaining approval (Policies for Posting Flyers). To obtain approval to post flyers:

      • on the Fairfax campus, contact the Information Desk at 703-993-9000, located in the Johnson Center;

      • on the Arlington Campus, contact the School of Law, Office of Career Development, located in Arlington 1;

      • on the Prince William Campus, contact the Information Center at 703-993-8350, PW1, Front Lobby.

  8. My son/daughter is a senior in high school and is interested or in need of career counseling and testing. Where may I go to get that help?
