Definition of Third Party Agencies and Temporary Agencies
Third Party Agencies are organizations or individuals who recruit candidates to fill the temporary, part-time or full-time employment needs of other organizations.
Temporary Agencies are organizations that contract individuals to perform specific tasks or complete specific projects for a client organization. Hired individuals perform work at the client organization but are employed and paid by the temporary agency. Their positions are typically short-term.
Policies for Third Party Agencies and Temporary Agencies
Third Party or Temporary Agencies wishing to list a position in PatriotJobWeb or to attend a career fair or other Career Services event must:
State in the job description that they are a third party or temporary employment agency.
State in the job description that any fees assessed by the agency will be paid by the client organization or employer they represent not by Mason candidates.
Agree that they or their client will not provide students' resumes to any other party without students' written consent. Failure to comply with this is a violation of The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
Agree to follow the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) guidelines pertaining to Third Party Recruiters: Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services & Employment Professionals
