Resume Builder

Resume Builder is our new online software that walks you through writing each section of a resume. You can input your personal information as you go and come out with a rough draft that you can build on.

In order to access Resume Builder, you must have a PatriotJobWeb (PJW) account. Once you have signed inexternal site link to PJW, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "documents" in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the Resume Builder tab.
  3. Follow the directions through each step

As you go through each section, be sure to check out examples by clicking on "Examples" in the toolbar above the writing area. A drop-down menu will appear for you to select the section you would like to see an example for.

After you have finished, you can save, print and/or activate your newly created resume. Activating it allows employers to view it in PJW and enables you to submit it as an application for posted positions.

Before activating, we recommend getting your resume critiqued by a career counselor or using our Resume Checklist to review it on your own. You'll also find more information and resume critiquing opportunities in our Resume Writing section.
