Get Experience: Internships and Co-ops
Internships
Internships are work experiences that provide you with practical knowledge in a particular field or area of study. They may be paid or unpaid and may or may not be completed for academic credit. Internship credit is arranged through your academic department. Typically internships last one or more semesters.
Cooperative Education (Co-op)
Co-op is a structured program which enables students who meet specific eligibility requirements to gain paid, professional-level work experience. Co-op positions must relate to your academic major and last a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks during a semester (10 weeks during the summer) with the same organization.
Career Services monitors your progress throughout your time in the program, and upon completion, you will receive a special notation on your official academic transcript for every semester you participated in the program.
