Before you can make a decision, you need to define the decision to be made. A decision is a choice. It must involve options from which to choose and a reasonable target date to work toward. Remember that most people change education/career direction more than once in a lifetime. So, view this decision as one that will guide you through the next 3 - 5 years, not the rest of your life.

Example: I want to decide whether to major in Psychology, Social Work or Sociology by the end of the semester.

Clarify: What do you need to decide?
