Knowing your career self involves understanding your personal needs, wants, abilities, characteristics and identifying your interests, values and skills. The know yourself exercises that follow are a good place to start your self-assessment. They are designed to help you implement the career planning process. Through exploration, you begin to crystallize important information about yourself and your options that will help you make informed, satisfying choices about your life. These exercises are not intended to provide complete information, however, University Career Services offers many resources to assist you in your process.
